UE Travaux pratiques tutorés

Course outline:

Chemistry being an experimental science, practice in the laboratory is a fundamental teaching in the chemistry curriculum.
The first two days will consist of re-examining every basic purification techniques used in the organic lab (distillation, extraction, recrystallization, chromatography). The remaining of the lab period will consist in carrying out of a multistep organic synthesis.

Skills:

Being able to realize, autonomously, chemical experiments from basic ones to the work under inert atmosphere and handling of sensitive reagents and being able to analyze organic compounds by using physical methods.
