The theme of the course focuses on the understanding of biological and artificial neural networks from a theoretical perspective (links between neurons and psyche, advantage of a distributed parallel system compared to a Turing-Von Neumann machine) but also from a methodological perspective (concrete implementation of artificial neural networks). Part 1: the origins of cognitive psychology. Part 2: synaptic learning algorithms. Part 3: similarity between biological and artificial neural networks. Part 4: Similarity between biological and artificial neural networks. Towards conscious artificial networks?
