Description
Macroscopic thermodynamics:
- Basic concepts: perfect gas, kinetic theory, thermoelastic coefficients, reversibility
- First principle: energy exchange in the form of heat and work, thermal coefficients, Joule's laws
- Second principle: historical statements, dithermic and polythermal cycles, macroscopic statement, statistical approach, third principle
- Thermal machines: motor, refrigerator, heat pump
- Thermodynamic functions: Enthalpy, Free Energy, Free Enthalpy, Maxwell's and Clapeyron's relations
- Pure-body phase transitions: triple point, critical point, latent heats.
