Description
The purpose of this course is to further teach experimental chemsitry to the student by working on synthetic projects during which they will reinforce their experimental knowledge. The students will first have to find, via bibliographic research, the experimetnal procedure they will then set up and conduce during a full week of work in the laboratory.
Recommended prerequisite
Chemistry laboratories (bachelor program, CHI501 and CHI601)
Targeted skills
Skills: Being able to perform chemical experiments from basic ones to the work under inert atmosphere and handling of sensitive reagents and being able to analyze organic and inorganic compounds by using physical methods.
