DUT Civil engineering sustainable construction / spring semester

Presentation and goals

The IUTs transform their training offer by offering a University Bachelor of Technology (BUT) from September 2021. The BUT thus becomes the new reference diploma of the IUT instead of the DUT. Students benefit from an integrated course over 3 years, without additional selection to reach the license degree. The diploma is aligned with international standards and facilitates exchanges with foreign universities. Please note, DUT recruitments are only open in the second year for students from another IUT (1st year DUT) and wishing to continue their 2nd year at IUT1 in Grenoble.

This spring semester program is one of the three optional semesters of the DUT diploma in Civil Engineering - Sustainable Construction of University Technology Institute 1.

This program is the final training stage for senior technicians to get a strong background in technological skills, as well as project management.

The training covers a wide range of fields in the Building and public works sector, such as industrial or commercial construction, individual or general interest construction, transport infrastructure, urban development and environment. This training also puts emphasis on sustainable construction and respect for the environment.

The DUT Civil Engineering - Sustainable Construction trains all activities related to the act of building. The training includes a wide range of construction and public works (BTP) such as industrial or commercial buildings, individual buildings or general interest, transport infrastructure, urban development, environment. The training puts a very strong and transversal emphasis on sustainable construction and respect for the environment.

Specificities : The choice of optional modules in Semester 4 makes it possible to prepare one of the following three orientations:

  •  Professional license in building: structural work and second work (sustainable construction)
  •  Pro license in public works and development
  •  Long-term studies (engineering school, 2nd cycle university

Training in two years of senior technicians with strong technological knowledge, professional technical skills, a good preparation for active living in terms of know-how, well-being, group work, project management and training. 'autonomy. They are intended to exercise indifferently at the level of project management (programming and monitoring of works), project management (design offices or control) or completion of work as middle managers of sites (companies of construction).

The training is based on innovative and adapted teaching methods allowing each student a dynamic and interactive learning.
