UE Climat et impact anthropique

Diplômes intégrant cet élément pédagogique :

The aim of this course is to provide some background on the climatic system, the observations of its mean change, and the forcings which can explain this change. The course is given in French, or in English if the French understanding of students requires it. In addition to the 10 lectures, a project is proposed with the aim of exploring a scientific question based on data and/or models, discussing necessary assumptions and limitations. The goal is to train students handling practical problems, finding the correct tools, assumptions, and applying some physical knowledge. Students participate to the simulation of international climate negociations (aka 'climate game'), organised for the students of the Institut d'études politiques de Grenoble (Master Politiques et pratiques des organisations internationales). Students play the role of climate experts advising representatives of countries.
