Descriptif

The aim of this course is to make students aware of the problems of measurement, precision and the tools available on the market to meet the needs of customers in the field of physics. Essential measurements will be analysed in terms of the physical principle involved, the measurement method used, the commercial equipment used and the meaning and accuracy of the measurement. Particular attention will be paid to the limitations of the equipment used, bearing in mind that they all have a response that needs to be identified in order to ensure that it is taken into account in the result obtained. This learning process will be supplemented by visits to showcase the new technologies offered by the companies that market them.
