In automation, state-space representation is a way of modelling dynamic systems for controlling and monitoring industrial processes.  The aim is to analyse the linear systems, improve their dynamic performance and synthesise the observers. This course will study the characteristics of controllability and observability, along with the stability conditions of systems. In addition, the tools needed for full-state feedback and the principle of construction of state observers will also be examined. A session of practical assignments will be devoted to simulation in MATLAB - Simulink of the different phases of the state-space representation for full-state feedback of processes.
