Definition of the basic concepts of analogue or digital transmission systems:
- Analogue and digital modulations (amplitude modulation, phase modulation, FM, OOK, QAM).
- Properties of modulations (advantages and disadvantages).
- Spectrum.
- Implementation of modulation and demodulation.
- Performance in the presence of noise.
- Concepts of synchronisation.
- Concepts of advanced modulations: spread spectrum (CDMA), orthogonal carriers (OFDM).
- General structure of analogue and digital transmission channels.
