Description
This course offers an up-to-date overview of recent breakthroughs and current issues in the field of Earth physics. The lessons will cover topics such as, but not limited to: Full Waveform Inversion; Physics of earthquakes, slow slip events and non-volcanic tremors; Seismic noise imaging and monitoring of the Earth; Earth's magnetic field.
The course will rely on lectures and article reading complemented, as far as practicable, by laboratory experiments.
