Description
The course is organized in two complementary parts:
Part 1 Fundamentals
* Contributions of cognitive psychology and cognitive models
- Model of the human processor- ICS model (Barnard)
- Theory of Action (Norman)
* Conception method by scenarios and formalisms
- Design steps
- Task analysis
- Design scenarios
- Design rules.
Part 2: Multimodal interaction and mobile supports
* Definitions
* Examples of multimodal systems
* Design space
* Ergonomic properties.
The course is accompanied by a group project involving the design and development of an interactive multi-surface, multimodal and mobile system.
Targeted skills
* Know-how in user-centred design, implementation and evaluation of interactive systems, in particular multimodal systems and on mobile media.
* Mastery of the conceptual foundations of human-machine interaction.
* Knowledge of notations and reference models in Human-Machine Interaction.
