Description
This class aims to introduce foreign students living in France to a more in-depth view of the different artistic expressions of Western European culture. The approach will not be chronological, rather it will be thematic.
Targeted skills
Practical and cultural objectives: To be able to describe and interpret an artwork, to get to know the artistic movements and major artists according to the themes chosen.
Linguistic objectives: to acquire a vocabulary and structures to describe and analyse an artwork; being able to express the way one “reads” it.
