Description
The subject of this half-semester course are the basic mathematical tools necessary to understand convex optimization problems, as well as a variety of methods for their solution. The course is divided in two parts, a basic mathematical part (3 weeks with 2 x 1.5 hours each, presented by R. Hildebrand) and a more applied part (3 weeks with 2 x 1.5 hours each, presented by F. Iutzeler). .
