Descriptif

The aim of this course is to study various various modelling problems and their computing solutions using Finite elements methods and open source library. In addition to classic FEM, we will study some variants based on Penalty or domain decomposition for example. We will study some multi-physics problems modelled by couples PDEs, for example 

•        Fluid/particles flows

•        Fluid/heat problems

•        Contour detection using levelset

Pré-requis

Linear algebra: fundamental notions (matrices, linear functions), Programming in C++ and python, finite elements methods

Compétences visées

At the end of the course, students will be able to write complex codes to model problems coming from physics for example.
